The Hartland, Vermont real estate market saw eleven (11) sales of single-family homes in the first half of 2018, down 48% compared to the first half of 2017, which saw twenty-one (21) sales. However, 2017 was the greatest single year on record for the Hartland VT real estate market and the Greater Woodstock market area as a whole, and therefore is likely an exception to the norm. In comparison to the number of sales in the first half of 2016, which turned out to be a very good year historically, the market was down only slightly. Another positive sign is that as of July 1 there were nine (9) properties active under contract or pending and set to close in the coming months.
The following graph shows the number of sales that transpired in the first half of the year in Hartland from 2004 through 2018.
