Hartford, Vermont Real Estate Market Report - First Quarter, 2018

The Hartford, Vermont real estate market (excluding the village of Quechee) saw eight (8) sales of single-family homes in the first quarter of 2018.  Buying activity in the first quarter is generally the slowest due to snow covering the ground and bad weather discouraging many from wanting to go out and shop for houses.  In fact, from 2004 through 2017 in Hartford, on average, just 15% of full year sales occurred during the first quarter. 

 

As of April 1st, there were thirty-four (34) properties active with contract or pending, a majority of which will close in the second quarter of this year.  To illustrate that point, please see the following chart showing historical second quarter sales in Hartford.  If a majority of those 34 properties close in the second quarter, it will point to a great year to come for the Hartford VT real estate market.
